The MOA Museum of Art is an art gallery in Atami City, Shizuoka. It houses serveral collections, including Japanese and Chinese ceramics, sculpture, calligraphy, textiles, lacquerware, paintings and metalwork. Some of the works are listed as National Treasures or Important Cultural Properties.
The museum offers amazing views of the Atami coastline.
How to get tickets
You can save ¥200 off the adult admission price (normally ¥1,600) if you buy your ticket online in advance. You’ll receive a QR code, which you can present on your phone or print out.

The closest station is Atami Station. From there it’s a 7-minute bus ride to the museum. There is free parking available if you drive.
