The Nagasaki Ropeway is a cable car spanning 1,090 meters in length. It takes visitors up Mt. Inasa to its famous overlook, considered one of Japan’s best spots for night views.

The completely clear-glass gondola, designed by renowned Japanese industrial designer Ken Okuyama, offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the city. It is best experienced during sunset when the sky changes colors. The overall journey lasts only 5 minutes, making you feel as though you are soaring through the sky.

A round trip costs ¥1,250 for adults, ¥940 for middle school students, and ¥620 for elementary school students. There is the option to get a one-way ticket too, which is ¥730 for adults, ¥520 for high school students, and ¥410 for elementary school students.
