Neputa Mura is a large enclosed museum (that’s a good thing given the amount of snow in Hirosaki during winter) located on the edge of Hirosaki Castle Park.
The museum is one of three in Aomori Prefecture dedicated to the Neputa/Nebuta festival (pronunciation varies depending on the particular local dialect) that takes place in early August each year.
Admission is 550yen for adults, 350yen for middle/high schoolers and 200yen for elementary school age children.
