Originally constructed in 592 (and reconstructed many times since), Shitennoji is considered to be the oldest Buddhist temple in Japan.

The grounds of the temple are divided into various sectors, some free and others with entry fees as follows.

Inner Precinct: ¥500
Gokuraku-Jodo Garden: ¥300
Treasure House: ¥500
