Shinsekai is full of Billiken. For those unfamiliar, Billiken is a mythical good-luck figure, often depicted smiling and sitting. As you walk around the area, you'll notice an abudance of Billiken statues -- outside restaurants and inside the iconic Tsutenkaku Tower. Did you know there's even a Billiken Shrine? Recognizable by its red torii gate, this shrine is considered a "power spot" where you can wish for good luck -- and even pay to read your love fortune slip. After visiting the shrine, head down the road to see the large golden Billiken. Many passerbys rub his feet for a little extra luck! How to get there The Billiken Shrine is a 5-minute walk away from Ebisucho Station on the Sakaisuji Line.
