The Tokugawa Art Museum is located in Nagoya, next to Tokugawa Park.
It was originally part of a residence that belonged to the Tokugawa Clan. In 1931, the family turned it over to the city of Nagoya and the museum was opened in 1935. It features a huge collection of artworks and Edo Period (1603-1867) artefacts.
Entry to the museum costs ¥1,400 for adults and includes entry to the nearby Hōsa Library as well. You can also get a combo ticket that includes Tokugawa Park for ¥1,550. If you have a 1-day pass for the Mei-Guru Sightseeing Bus, you can get tickets for a discounted rate of ¥1,200.
