Tokugawa Garden is a Japanese-style garden in Nagoya, located next to the Tokugawa Art Museum.
It was originally part of a residence that belonged to the Tokugawa Clan. In 1931, the family turned it over to the city of Nagoya and the garden was opened to the public in 1932. Unfortunately, the original garden was destroyed in fire bombing during World War 2. The only part of the garden that survived was the main gate that you can enter through today. In 2004, the garden was reopened to the public.
Entry costs ¥300 for adults, and is free for children middle school aged and younger. Tokugawa Park is a stop on the Mei-Guru Sightseeing Bus. If you show your 1-day bus pass, entry is discounted to ¥240.
