The local village shrine, this is a small but well-maintained shrine with red torii gates lining up almost al-la Kyoto’s famous example.
The shrine is the host of the annual Bonbori festival – an event taken from the well-known Hanasaku Iroha series and running since 2011. The lantern are lit from mid-July until the final early-mid October where the offerings are burned in a fire ceremony.
