Step back in time and enjoy a coffee at Hana Mo Mi Mo, located in an over 170-year-old wooden townhouse in Nagasaki.
What’s Hana Mo Mi Mo?
In an effort to preserve and make use of this old two-story wooden building, it has been transformed into a rental space and café. As soon as you slide open the door, a wave of nostalgia hits as you spot a table selling retro Showa-era sweets and locally made pottery. Here is where you place your order.
On the menu, you’ll find a selection of hot and iced beverages, mostly coffee. We highly recommend the coffee float, priced at ¥660. Why not pair it with some freshly baked goods or traditional desserts to complement your drink?
After placing your order, you’ll need to walk up some wooden steps to reach the tatami-seating area. With its calm, traditional atmosphere, it offers a peaceful space to work or relax in. If free, we recommend sitting in the tatami room at the back. There, you’ll find a low table, along with an old radio and TV — sitting there will truly enhance your Showa-era experience.
