Located on the site of the original home of the renowned author, this small museum is dedicated to the life and works of Izumi Kyoka. Born to an artisan father and a mother with a family history in Noh theater, Kyoka was a master of Japanese romantic literature. Often transformed into plays, films and inspiring works of art, his creations are still popular today. Including titles such as 'Koya Hijiri', 'Nihonbashi' and 'Onna Keizu', his body of work was given the collective title of 'Kyoka's World' thanks to his ability to create whole worlds in his texts. The museum is small and was designed in the style of a traditional wooden house. There are carefully maintained possessions and examples of his original books and texts.
