Fukuoka Christmas Market is considered one of the biggest Christmas markets in Japan. There are a number of venues, so technically there is more than one market. In its 10th year, the miniature Christmas towns will display lights, trees, ornaments, and sell piping hot drinks and food.
JR Hakata Station Square (Hakata)
The Hikari no Machi illuminations and market will set up stalls from Nov. 11 to Dec. 25. Festivities start from 4:35 p.m. till 11 p.m. on weekdays and from noon till 11 p.m on weekends and holidays
Fukuoka City Hall (Tenjin)
In the square to the west of Fukuoka City Hall, the Tenjin Christmas Market will begin from Nov. 21 to Dec. 25 (closed on Nov. 26 and 27). Weekdays are from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and weekends are noon to 10 p.m.
