Cherry blossoms by day are beautiful — but by night, they’re magical. At Osaka Castle’s Nishinomaru Garden, you can experience sakura in a whole new light, with hundreds of cherry trees illuminated against the backdrop of the towering edifice.

This is part of the Osaka Castle Spring Festival.

What happens?

From March 20 to April 12, Nishinomaru Garden will stay open late, giving visitors a rare chance to stroll under glowing cherry blossoms. Grab a bite from the on-site food and beverage trucks, take in the softly lit pink canopy, and soak up the historic atmosphere.
