One of the most famous landmarks in all of Japan, Osaka Castle is a reconstruction of the imposing castle that stood at the site until the close of the Edo period when it was burned to the ground. The castle now houses a museum which displays its history as well as the life of Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

Throughout the year there are various events which take place on the grounds including the Osaka Marathon, Osaka Mecha Happy Festival, and Osaka Illuminage.
