Drink sake from Nara to Niigata at the Sake World Summit in Kyoto.
What to expect
The Sake World Summit is a single-day event held in Kyoto’s Miyako Messe Convention Center. It brings together over 250 breweries from across Japan and offers everything from the old to the bold. You can try sake that has been aged for close to a decade or chase after unique microbrewery craft sake.
Not to mention, you’ll even have a chance to try ultra-premium fancy sake (at ¥300,000 a bottle!)
15 popular Kyoto restaurants will offer snacks and bites while you drink — everything from sushi to spicy curry. Besides the drinks and food, you can also stop by the tech stalls. Several techies will be there to talk about making sake NFT’s — a drinkable asset.
Tickets
The Sake World Summit is split into two separate events. The morning event is from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and the afternoon event is from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Entry to either event is ¥3,900 in advance or ¥4,200 on the door.
How to get there
Kyoto’s Miyako Messe is easily accessible from anywhere in Kyoto. Buses run regularly past, such as the 206 City Bus from Kyoto Station. Meanwhile, the Kyoto subway’s Tozai Line also gets you close via Higashiyama Station — a 10-minute walk away.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.Add to Calendar
