Site of the former Dutch trading post. Dejima is also the name of the wider neighborhood.

Originally a man-made island created in the 17th century for European traders, Dejima stands as a historical symbol of Japan’s connections with Europe. Although it is no longer an island, many of the buildings have been restored and become part of an open-air museum.
There is an admission fee to enter inside the grounds and see the exhibits. This is ¥520 for adults, ¥200 for senior high students, and ¥100 for junior high students.
