A real beach-resort town, Shirahama has a beautifully curved bay with clam waters and white sand. There are nightly fireworks in summer and plenty of visitors, so it will get crowded. The town is famous for onsen and there are a couple of co-ed onsen to enjoy on the beach itself (swimsuits required of course).
