Good news: Solaniwa Onsen welcomes tattooed guests -- all you have to do is buy the special stickers sold at Solaniwa Onsen to (completely) cover all of your tattoos. Sizes include 145 x 100 mm, 95 x 75 mm, and 75 x 28 mm. Note: Stickers sold elsewhere won't be accepted. What kind of baths are there? Guests can enjoy nine different bath types, including outdoor baths with pure hot-spring water sourced from 1,000 meters below the earth's surface. These baths, set in a Japanese garden, feature hypotonic and weakly alkaline water with high heat levels, believed by some to alleviate nerve, muscle, and joint pain, as well as bruises, sprains, hemorrhoids, and cold sensitivity. Private baths In addition to the communal baths, Solaniwa Onsen provides 10 fully private outdoor baths for families, each with spring water and its own mini garden. Options include two Special Rooms accommodating 4 to 6 people, seven Private Rooms for 1 to 4 people, and one wheelchair-friendly Private Room. Visiting Solaniwa Onsen To streamline your experience, we recommend purchasing your ticket online. A basic admission ticket is . You can choose various add-ons like access to the bedrock baths and a meal at one of the onsite restaurants for more. Reserving a private bath is also extra. Are tattoos allowed? Yes! Just make sure to buy the special stickers sold at Solaniwa Onsen to conceal your tattoos. What facilities are there? Osaka Solaniwa Onsen has a wide range of facilities. In case you're feeling peckish after your bath, there are several restaurants serving both local and international food. There are also facilities such as a gaming arcade, hair salon, spa, rest area, and souvenir shop. Also, for a little bit of exploring, it's well worth checking out the Solaniwa Tenjin Shrine and Benten Shrine, as well as the picturesque Thousand Torii Gates -- all contained within the onsen complex. How do you get there? Solaniwa Onsen is connected by a direct walkway from Bentencho Station, which is around 10 minutes from Osaka Station (Umeda Station) on either the JR or Osaka Metro lines. JR: Take the North Exit of JR Bentencho Station, then take the stairs on your immediate right. Osaka Metro: Exit through the west ticket gate and exit through 2A of Osaka Metro Bentencho Station.
