Join in one of the largest festivals in Kyūshū.
What happens?
A humungous parade featuring more than 16,000 dancers will take place in downtown Kagoshima, located in the southernmost portion Kyūshū.
Beautiful costumes, drum performances, and an illuminated flower tram are some of the highlights.
Everyone is encouraged to get moving, including onlookers.

Here’s the schedule for this year’s event.
- November 2 (Sat.): The night festival takes place from 6:50 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- November 3 (Sun.): The parade and other activities will go from 10:20 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.
How to get there
The closest station is JR Kagoshima, but the festivities can also be accessed by Kagoshima-Chūō Station, which is on the Kyūshū Shinkansen.
