Designed by Japanese-American designer Isamu Noguchi, Moerenuma Park is on the outskirts of Sapporo. The park features not one by two man-made mountains, a playground area with a fountain (in summer there are water shows), and an artificial beach for those who are brave enough to dip a toe into the sea in summer. There is also a stunning atrium-slash-gallery space, a shop and a restaurant in a glass pyramid known as the Hidamari.
