Ohori Park Japanese Garden is located in the southeast corner of Ohori Park adjacent to the Fukuoka Art Museum.
Created in 1984 and designed by prominent garden designers Kinsaku Nakane and Masao Nakamura, the garden features a main ornamental pond, carp, a waterfall, miniature mountains, a zen garden and a dry landscape.
The garden is spread over 1.2 hectares. At a gentle pace, you can spend an hour exploring the garden and contemplating the landscapes from the various vantage points.
