A preserved two-story home on the edge of the Nagamachi samurai neighborhood that belonged to a wealthy merchant in the Edo period. The house differs from the Samurai buildings in that there is a business area in the front with living quarters our the back.

The museum is filled with traditional crafts and artifacts including tools used in the business.
Admission is free with the Kanazawa City Cultural Admission Pass.
