Sōrakuen Garden is a traditional Japanese garden in central Kobe. It used to be part of the Kodera family's residence. They passed ownership over to the city in 1941 and it was opened to the public. The garden has been a favorite lurking place for amatuer artists ever since. How to get to there The garden is a 2-minute walk from Kencho-Mae Station on the Seishin-Yamate Line. Or it's a 10-minute walk from Motomachi Station on the Hanshin, Kobe Kosoku, and Tokaido-Sanyo Lines. Parking is not available onsite. How much does it cost to enter Sōrakuen Garden Entry is for adults (15 years and above) and for elementary and middle school-aged children. Discounts are available for groups of 15 or more people. Yearly passes are also available.
